Make alliances with the natives
While France was quickly able to establish a new colony called new France along st. Lawrence river. The colony that lived there would be fueled by farming and trading of furs with the aboriginal. Even though the colony of new France would trade with the native people it wasn't always peaceful, their would be wars and conflicts at time, the native people fraught against the people of new France and also against the British later on.
The aboriginal and french did create various alliances. The new success of new France was insatiably linked to the aboriginal population who already inhabited the land in 1609, Samuel DE Champlain began forging a number of alliances with various aboriginal groups like the Algonquins and Huron for purposes of exchanging furs for the euro trade goods.
Sources of wealth
New France had many sources of wealth for example: Furs and gold. France made an alliance with the natives and they would trade furs, they traded furs because in Europe they didn't have any of these animals.
The types of animal furs they had/traded were: Bears, dear, and beaver mostly. They would find gold thanks to the Natives because they would know the land and then they could explore and find gold.
